ARCHITECTURE, PHOTOGRAPHY, AND GRAPHIC DESIGN create different PERCEPTIONS into the reality in which we live. Each requires INNOVATION and DISCOVERY to represent the perspective desired. Designers have the unique ability to INFLUENCE CHANGE throughout their community, region, or the world. Designers must be willing to take a step toward change to challenge the ideas of the past and encourage a greater future. I began the journey of architecture with an exploration of light and how it affects the users. I created complex shapes and designs paired with concepts to feed my curiosity. Through examination of each model, I created a perception of light that is unique to myself. I continued to research the sociological and psychological effects architecture has on humans through the rest of my designs. Architecture has the opportunity to affect human ecology in a positive manner. I embrace this challenge throughout my design process by looking at what best displays the STYLE, BEAUTY, CULTURE, and IDENTITY of each building.
